CAD Designer / Architectural CAD Technician\nOutside IR35 | Competitive Day Rate | 3–6 Month Contract | Liverpool\nA well-established UK engineering and energy solutions business is seeking an experienced CAD professional on a contract basis to support ongoing project delivery and internal design development at their Liverpool operation. Operating across complex industrial and energy infrastructure projects, the business has built a strong reputation for technical delivery, engineering quality and long-term customer partnerships.\nThis role will support current engineering functions while helping improve drawing standards, modelling processes and document control systems across the business.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduce high-quality 3D CAD models, technical drawings and architectural renderings for ongoing engineering and infrastructure projects\nSupport the delivery of current design and engineering activities across multiple workstreams\nAssist in the development and implementation of drawing control systems and document management procedures\nEnsure all drawings and models comply with industry standards, internal governance and engineering best practice\nProvide practical input into design risk management, liability awareness and technical compliance\nWork closely with engineering, projects and design teams to maintain accurate and controlled technical documentation\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to CAD processes, workflows and design standards\nEssential Requirements\nStrong 3D CAD experience within engineering, energy, industrial or construction environments\nExperience producing architectural renderings and detailed technical models\nGood understanding of design liability, technical risk limitation and drawing governance\nPractical experience implementing or improving drawing control systems and CAD standards\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively\nAbility to work independently while supporting wider engineering and project teams\nWhat’s on Offer\nOutside IR35 contract opportunity\nCompetitive day rate depending on experience\nInitial 3–6 month contract with potential for longer-term or permanent opportunity\nBased in Liverpool\nOpportunity to support technically challenging engineering and infrastructure projects\nCollaborative and professional engineering environment with long-term project pipeline\nWhy Apply?\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD professional to join a respected engineering and energy business supporting major infrastructure and industrial projects.
