Electrician / Electrical Inspector (CompEx)

Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.\n\nDUTIES\n\nYour duties as the CompEx Electrical Inspector / Electrician include:\n\n * ATEX Inspections: conduct detailed ATEX and CompEx inspections to IEC / BS EN (phone number removed) standards\n\n * Electrical Inspection: identify non-compliances and ensure hazardous area equipment meets required standards\n\n * Electrical Rectifications: complete high-quality electrical repairs and corrective work to minimise downtime\n\n * Inspection Reporting: produce accurate reports and communicate findings and risks clearly\n\n * Documentation Preparation: create comprehensive handover documentation following site inspections\n\n * Containment Installation: install containment and cable systems to a high standard\n\n * Electrical Installation: undertake electrical installation work safely and efficiently\n\n * Technical Interpretation: work from electrical wiring diagrams and area classification reports\n\n * Instrumentation Support: support instrumentation installation and shutdown projects when required\n\n * Project Delivery: manage work schedules effectively and deliver work within agreed timescales\n\n * Continuous Improvement: identify recurring issues and contribute to improved inspection processes\n\n * Client Relationships: collaborate with customers and internal teams to improve compliance and safety outcomes\n\nCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS\n\nESSENTIAL\n\n * Current CompEx EX01–04 qualification\n\n * C&G 2391, 2391-52, or 2394 and 2395 qualification\n\n * JIB Gold Card or higher with recognised apprenticeship or equivalent Electrician qualification\n\n * Strong understanding of BS EN (phone number removed) and BS EN (phone number removed)\n\n * Proven experience conducting ATEX inspections and producing high-quality reports\n\n * Experience with glanding, terminating, containment installation and cable systems\n\n * Proficient in interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and area classification reports\n\n * Competent using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint and Microsoft 365\n\n * Willing to travel throughout the UK and EU including overnight stays\n\n * Full UK driving licence required\n\n * Able to develop effective customer relationships and communicate clearly\n\nDESIRABLE\n\n * CompEx EX05–06 qualification\n\n * Valid CCSNG, JIB or equivalent accreditation\n\n * Previous experience within a service or field-based engineering environment\n\nBENEFITS\n\nA base salary of up to £55k dependent on qualifications and experience\n\nFully funded car and tech\n\nFuel card, including allowances for breakfast, lunch and dinner when working away – zero out of pocket expenses here!\n\nPaid overnight allowance, every night you spend working away\n\nEmployee Training\n\nCompany Events\n\nModern open plan office\n\nFree Gym membership within walking distance to HQ\n\nCompany pension package to secure your future\n\nTotal holiday package of 31 days\n\nEmployer-sponsored office attire\n\nEmployer funded Cash plan.
