Fire & Security Project Commissioning Engineer\n\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Project Commissioning Engineer to support the successful delivery of fire and security projects across a diverse portfolio. This role involves commissioning both small and large-scale systems, while taking responsibility for planning, coordination, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Commission fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.\n\n * Plan, coordinate, and manage commissioning activities to ensure successful and efficient project delivery.\n\n * Liaise with clients and key stakeholders to meet programme deadlines while maintaining strong customer relationships.\n\n * Conduct site surveys, installation inspections, and system testing to ensure compliance, performance, and functionality.\n\n * Provide technical support and guidance to engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.\n\n * Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations across all project activities and sites.\n\n * Maintain accurate commissioning records and produce detailed technical documentation and reports.\n\n * Deliver system training and operational guidance to clients and end-users.\n\n * Manage labour and materials effectively to support timely and cost-efficient project completion.\n\n * Contribute to project meetings and provide technical input across all stages of the project lifecycle.\n\n * Oversee and support engineers and subcontractors, including task allocation and performance management.\n\n * Monitor project performance, supporting profitability and reporting progress to the Project Manager.\n\n * Assist with installation, commissioning, and minor works as required to support the wider team.\n\n * Promote and uphold company standards in quality, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.\n\nPerson Specification\n\n * High levels of energy, drive, and enthusiasm, with a proactive approach to work.\n\n * Strong technical background within the fire and security industry, with broad system knowledge.\n\n * Adaptable and resilient, able to respond effectively in a dynamic working environment.\n\n * Experience in customer-facing roles, with the ability to manage client interactions confidently and professionally.\n\n * Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.\n\n * Strong communication skills, including clear and structured reporting.\n\n * Professional and positive attitude, representing the business to a high standard.\n\n * Committed to delivering excellent customer service.\n\n * Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
