Graduate Quality Engineer

Graduate Quality Engineer\n\nFerrovial Construction is looking for Graduate Quality Engineers to assist with, and in some cases be responsible for, day to day activities on a variety of major UK infrastructure projects. The Ferrovial 2-year graduate development programme is designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of Quality Managers.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nContribute to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy and ensure Quality standards on our projects are upheld.\n\nKey Accountabilities\n\n * To assist in writing and reviewing quality documentation including Quality Management Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.\n\n * To support the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure quality plans and important information is understood and operated by all employees and subcontractors.\n\n * To assist in monitoring compliance of construction works on site and relevant documentation in accordance with Works Information (including design drawings), Ferrovial standards and relevant Technical Standards.\n\n * To assist in carrying out reports for the senior Quality team.

To support the Project Quality Manager with investigations and audits.\n\n * Provide guidance on quality requirements and best practice, promoting continuous improvement and innovation across the site team and the business.\n\n * Promote Ferrovial Construction UK’s vision and values, while taking ownership of your assigned work.\n\n * Adhering to safe working practice regulations on-site and ensuring that all staff comply with the same. Support Ferrovial Construction Environmental and Sustainability policies and procedures.\n\nSkills and Competence\n\nWe are looking for graduates with:\n\n * Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels\n\n * Excellent written and oral English language\n\n * Degree or Masters (All disciplines considered)\n\n * Must have right to work in the UK by the start of employment\n\n * Motivated to learn and add value to the team, the role and the Graduate programme\n\n * Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving. A proven team player who can effectively work with others.

Enjoys working under pressure to meet deadlines\n\n * Proactive approach to working and learning\n\n * Commercial awareness and an understanding of the industry.\n\n * Familiar with all Microsoft packages\n\n * Technical Knowledge (Civil, Mechanical and / or Electrical)\n\nInterpersonal Skills:\n\n * Logical thinker with a willingness to learn\n\n * Resilient and a flexible approach to working\n\n * Results driven with strong communication skills\n\n * Work independently with minimal supervision\n\nDesirable\n\n * Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation\n\n * Quality experience and CSCS Card\n\nEssential:\n\n * Must have right to work in the UK by the start of employment and throughout the entirety of the graduate program.\n\nWhat we offer:\n\nOn the Ferrovial Construction Graduate programme you will get:\n\n2-year development programme\n\nExposure to a diverse range of engineering disciplines\n\nWork with Contractors and Sub-contractors to develop effective partnerships\n\nAttend a variety of blended training to develop your technical, professional and behavioural skills\n\nYou will start the process of becoming chartered with internal and external support\n\nYou will either be given a project to work on or be assigned to a small “Package” to manage the quality assurance requirements from start to finish\n\nGain an understanding of Ferrovial Construction from a global perspective, with mobility opportunities\n\nOther details\n\nThe position is scheduled to start in September 2026 at the latest, if you wish to start earlier, we can accommodate this.\n\nPlease note that this job description does not represent a comprehensive list of activities and employees may be requested to undertake other reasonable duties.\n\nSeize the challenge.
