We specialise in providing expert advice to property owners, occupiers, investors, and financial institutions, delivering professional services across asset management, building surveying, and technical consultancy.\nWorking within a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we pride ourselves on developing talent and offering long-term career progression within the built environment.\nThe Role\nWe are seeking a Junior Mechanical & Electrical Surveyor to join our growing Asset Management team in Leeds.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working in an M&E engineering, maintenance, or FM role who is looking to transition into a professional surveying career.\nYou will support the delivery of:\nM&E asset surveys across a diverse property portfolio\nPlantroom inspections and condition assessments\nAsset verification and data collection for building services systems\nTypical responsibilities include:\nAssisting senior surveyors with on-site mechanical and electrical asset surveys\nInspecting plantrooms and building services installations (HVAC, electrical systems, heating, etc.)\nLogging and tagging equipment, recording asset data (age, condition, specification)\nProducing accurate survey notes and digital records using asset management software\nSupporting condition assessments and lifecycle planning exercises\nWorking as part of a multidisciplinary surveying and asset consultancy team\nThis is a site-focused role with a blend of field-based work and office time based in Leeds.\nThe Person\nWe are keen to speak with individuals who have a practical understanding of building services and are looking to take the next step in their career.\nYou may currently be working as:\nHVAC Engineer\nElectrician\nBuilding Services Engineer\nFM / Maintenance Engineer\nKey requirements:\nA background in mechanical or electrical engineering (essential)\nIdeally studying towards a BTEC, HNC, or HND in Building Services or an engineering-related discipline\nBasic understanding of:\nPlantrooms\nHVAC systems\nElectrical installations\nStrong IT skills (Excel, tablets, mobile data capture tools)\nGood communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients\nA genuine interest in moving into surveying / consultancy\nFull UK driving licence (essential)\nThe Salary & Package\n * Circa £40,000\n * 24 days holiday + bank holidays\n * 3% pension contribution\n * Laptop\n * Mobile phone\n * Own vehicle would be needed but you will be remunerated at 55p per mile for any usage.\nAdditional Information\nThis role offers clear progression into M&E surveying, asset consultancy, and building surveying\nFull training and mentoring provided\nHybrid working, with a requirement to attend the Leeds (Wellington Place) office, so candidates must live within a commutable distance
