Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer\n\nRole Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer\n\nLocation: Manchester\n Salary: £47,000\n Shift Pattern: Panama Shifts 2 weekends of every month \n\nWe are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated and fast-paced operation based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established engineering team within a distribution environment, working with automated systems and equipment.\n\nReporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for delivering both reactive and planned maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising operational downtime.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.\nMaintain and repair a wide range of automated machinery including Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS), cranes, chain and roller conveyors.\nRespond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption to operations.\nEnsure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nRequirements\n\nNVQ Level 3 or equivalent In electrical or mechanical engineering\nStrong electrical and mechanical maintenance background.\nAbility to fault find under pressure and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompany pension contribution of 8%\nPrivate healthcare\nPanama shift pattern Working 7 days and 7 nights - in a 28-day period with 2x weekends off every month.\nOpportunity to work with advanced automated equipment and systems.\nStable business with excellent long-term career prospects and excellent training.\nSupportive and professional engineering environment\nOT available\n33 days annual leave including bank holidays.\nX3 death in service\nHow to Apply:\n \n If you are a dedicated Maintenance Engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, please submit your CV.
