Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: Up to £41,496 Basic + Overtime + Excellent Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a growing fleet operation covering the Newcastle upon Tyne area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled commercial vehicle technician who enjoys working independently and providing high-quality maintenance and repair services directly at customer sites and roadside locations. You'll be equipped with a fully fitted company vehicle and the latest diagnostic equipment, allowing you to deliver exceptional service while working across a varied fleet of commercial vehicles.

Mobile HGV Technician Responsibilities
  • Attend customer sites and roadside locations to diagnose, service, and repair commercial vehicles
  • Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair faults across engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Use modern diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues efficiently
  • Complete repairs to manufacturer and company standards
  • Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the business professionally
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety requirements
Mobile HGV Technician Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Mobile HGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential)
  • A proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality work
