This Senior Hydrologist opportunity in Birmingham offers responsibility, influence and the chance to deliver meaningful work within a respected consultancy.\n\nA well-established environmental consultancy is strengthening its Birmingham team and is seeking a Senior Hydrologist to lead delivery across flood risk, drainage and water resources projects. The Senior Hydrologist will work across the Midlands and wider UK, supporting public and private sector developments within a flexible working structure.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Senior Hydrologist, you will take ownership of technical delivery while supporting project performance and team development.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n* Leading Flood Risk Assessments, SuDS strategies and hydrological modelling \n* Producing high-quality technical reports for planning and development \n* Supporting projects from feasibility through to detailed design \n* Liaising with clients, local authorities and regulatory bodies \n* Ensuring solutions are practical, compliant and cost-effective \n* Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical outputs \n* Maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation and best practice\n\nAbout You\n\nThis Senior Hydrologist role suits an engineer ready to take the next step.\n\nYou will ideally have:\n\n* A degree in Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering or similar \n* 3 to 5 years' experience in flood risk and drainage \n* Chartered status or working towards it \n* Experience with FEH, WINFAP, Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or HEC-RAS \n* Strong communication and project delivery skills\n\nSalary for this Senior Hydrologist position is £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience.\n\nEligibility to Apply\n\nApplicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
