Location: Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth (with some remote working options available and occasional office visits required).

\n

Hours: 45 hours per week, with flexibility on hours if desired. Just let us know during our conversation!

\n\nYour Role\n

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering a major project for Thames Water. This exciting role encompasses multiple subprojects, including:

\n
• Tertiary treatment renewal
\n
• Secondary treatment intensification
\n
• Improvements to inlet works
\n
• Substantial electrical infrastructure changes
\n

\n

You’ll collaborate closely with our design team and supply chain partners to ensure we achieve outstanding results for our client while maintaining safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.

\n\nYour Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

\n

\n
• Lead mechanical engineering from inception to completion, utilizing in-house functions and resources.
\n
• Collaborate with supply chain design teams and our design partner to ensure full integration, CDM compliance, and constructability of all designs.
\n
• Liaise with the client's engineering and operational staff to meet or exceed performance indicators within budget.
\n
• Prepare estimates, quotations, and contract documentation, supporting the procurement of plant, materials, and specialist subcontractors.
\n
• Mentor and support graduate mechanical engineers, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
\n

\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n

This role is perfect for you if:

\n

\n
• You have a strong working knowledge of wastewater engineering, including key suppliers and process equipment designs.
\n
• You’re familiar with access metalwork standards and large-scale pipework designs for both air and water uses.
\n
• You have experience delivering large wastewater schemes (over £50 million).
\n
• You can effectively lead and manage teams on-site, building strong relationships across projects.
\n
• You hold a full driving license.
\n
