Overview

We are seeking On-Site Operatives to support the protection, handling, and preservation of equipment and materials across industrial or construction environments. This is a hands-on, physically active role suited to individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality work while maintaining strong safety standards.

The Role

As an On-Site Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment and components are protected, maintained, and handled correctly throughout project lifecycles. You will work both on operational sites and in associated storage or warehouse environments, collaborating closely with team members and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply protective coverings and materials to equipment and components (e.g. wrapping, sheeting, and other preservation methods)
  • Inspect and record the condition of items, identifying and reporting any issues or damage
  • Install and monitor environmental control systems (e.g. humidity control, dehumidification, or similar equipment)
  • Follow strict health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet operational requirements
  • Provide support in warehouse or storage facilities as needed

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience in a hands-on, physical role (e.g. construction, manufacturing, installation, logistics, or similar)
  • Ability to work safely in regulated or high-standard environments
  • Reliable, professional attitude with strong work ethic
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Clear and verifiable work history

Desirable:

  • Experience working on industrial, construction, or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with access equipment or relevant certifications (training may be provided)
  • Exposure to sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, or logistics

Working Conditions

  • Full-time role with a mix of on-site and facility-based work
  • Working hours may vary depending on operational requirements, including early starts
  • Work may involve travel to different locations
